January Jones' latest throwback Thursday pic on Instagram wasn't her first choice.

The Mad Men actress initially shared a photo from her early modeling days showing her in a tribal-inspired sweater vest and standing in-between two shirtless men.

Commenters immediately took issue with the photo, even going so far as to claim that the 36-year-old's photo was racist and derogatory.

Jones captioned the photo, "I finally found it! #tbt to my first paid "modeling" gig for a knitting magazine in South Dakota #nailedit."

Shortly after the commenters flooded her account with accusations and criticism, Jones removed the retro pic.

Hours later, she shared another snapshot from her modeling past and addressed those who had previously written remarks on the earlier controversial image.

She wrote, "I had to swap my #tbt pics because I was receiving to many negative comments and assumptions." She added in a hashtag, "This forum should be a happy and fun place I had no patience for hate."

The new photo shows Jones in a sweater dress with a massive handbag and appears to be from the same women's knitting catalogue.
