We all need a little inspiration from time to time, especially when it comes to working out. Let's all be honest here: no one actually enjoys working out on a gorgeous summer day. Sometimes we all just need that quick kick to our backside to get motivated. Or we look through the Victoria's Secret bathing suit catalog and immediately put on our running shoes.

Regardless of what gets you going, once you are at the gym you need a solid playlist to keep you pushing towards that ultimate bikini body. Here is our breakdown of the best shape up songs that will have you "Up in the gym just workin' on your fitness" in no time. (Thanks, Fergie!)

Beyoncé - "Get Me Bodied" (Live)

Inspiration: "I ain't worried doing me tonight/ A little sweat ain't never hurt nobody"

Editor's Note: Ugh. We hate it when you're right, Bey.

Britney Spears - "Work B**ch"

Inspiration: "You want a hot body/ You want a Bugatti/ You want a Maserati/ You better work bitch"

Editor's Note: Turns out, we want all of these things, so in turn—OK, fine, we'll work out.

LMFAO - "Sexy and I Know It"

Inspiration: "Girl look at that body/ I work out"

Editor's Note: We would like to meet the person who does not want to get their legs moving after hearing this song.

Lil Jon & East Side Boyz - "Get Low"

Inspiration: "She getting crunk in the club, I mean she work it/ And then I like to see the females twerking"

Editor's Note: This song put the term "skeet, skeet" on the map and for that we will be forever grateful.

Katy Perry - "Roar"

Inspiration: "Louder, louder than a lion/ 'Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar"

Editor's Note: This song makes us immediately want to jump into a boxing ring and compete. No prior boxing experience needed.

R.Kelly - "Ignition (Remix)"

Inspiration: "Hot and fresh out the kitchen/ Mama rollin' that body/ Got every man in here wishin'"

Editor's Note: Did everyone else have a choreographed dance to this song? Just us? Ok. Never mind then.

Eminem - "Lose Yourself"

Inspiration: "So here I go it's my shot/ Feet, fail me not, this may be the only opportunity that I got"

Editor's Note: ...to get skinny.

Ram Jam - "Black Betty"

Inspiration: "Well, she's shakin' that thing (bam-ba-lam)/ Boy, she makes me sing (bam-ba-lam)"

Editor's Note: An oldie but goodie.

Spice Girls - "Spice Up Your Life"

Inspiration: "Hi Ci Ya/ Hold tight!"

Editor's Note: At first everyone wants to be Baby Spice, but at the gym we immediately take on the persona of Sporty Spice.

Jay-Z- "99 Problems"

Inspiration: "I got 99 problems, but a b--ch ain't one/ Hit me"

Editor's Note:  Working out used to be one of our 99 problems but this song helps ease the pain. Appreciate it, Hova.

Miley Cyrus - "Can't Be Tamed"

Inspiration: "And if you try to hold me back I might explode/ Baby by now you should know/ I can't be tamed."

Editor's Note: We basically envision ourselves busting through a bird cage every time we hear this on iTunes. (P.S. Remember when this was a scandalous music video for Miley? Those were the days.)

Missy Elliot- "Work It"

Inspiration: "Put my thing down, flip it and reverse it"

Editor's Note: The pedaling on every single Elliptical machine increases to the beat of this song when played throughout gyms nationwide.

Robyn - "Dancing On My Own"

Inspiration: "I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the girl you're taking home"

Editor's Note: Revenge dancing. Works every time.

Christina Aguilera feat. Redman - Dirrty

Inspiration: "It's about time that I came to start the party/ Sweat dripping over my body"

Editor's Note: We think that we can speak for everyone when we say this song makes us all sweat a little harder the second it starts to play.

Olivia Newton- John - "Physical"

Inspiration: "Let me hear your body talk/ Your body talk"

Editor's Note: Ummmm, if you haven't seen this music video before we highly suggest that you do so immediately. We'll wait.

Disclosure - "Latch"

Inspiration: "Got you shackled in my embrace/ I'm latching on to you (never)"

Editor's Note: Give us this beat every day of the week and we will be happy.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - "Can't Hold Us"

Inspiration: "Tonight is the night, we'll fight 'til it's over/ So we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us"

Editor's Note: This song makes us immediately want to jump up and down—preferably with weights so that we can start getting defined biceps.

Survivor - "Eye of the Tiger"

Inspiration: "It's the eye of the tiger/ It's the thrill of the fight/ Rising up to the challenge of our rival"

Editor's Note: Excuse us while we drink egg yolks and sprint to the top of a staircase.

Kesha- "Your Love Is My Drug"

Inspiration: "I don't care what people say/ The rush is worth the price I pay"

Editor's Note: Basically all of Kesha's songs could be a running gym playlist—but this is the one that just gets us going the most.

Beyoncé & Jay-Z - "Crazy in Love"

Inspiration: "Cuz your love got the best of me/ And baby you're making a fool of me/ You got me sprung and I don't care who sees/ Cuz baby you got me so crazy"

Editor's Note: We wanted to start and end with the Queen Bey—and if you don't picture yourself booty popping in a dark alley with a silk letterman's jacket everytime you hear this song, you're only lying to yourself.

Did we miss something? Sound off and let us know what you're listening to while you work out! Your summer workout playlist can never be too long!
