Taylor Swift's new cat Olivia Benson is beyond cute.

It's also pretty endearing that Tay named the tiny kitten is named after Mariska Hargitay's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit character (because she loves the show!). Miss Olivia (or Detective Benson, if she prefers a more formal approach) joins the singer's other cat, Meredith—and yes, that pretty kitty is named for Ellen Pompeo's Grey's Anatomy character, Meredith Grey!

Of course, Taylor isn't the only celeb to name her pet(s) after a famous character—others have also named their animals after real people! George Clooney, for example, named his adorable cocker spaniel mix Albert Einstein. The actor adopted him from a shelter, and as he told Esquire, it was love at first sight—or in Einstein's case, love at first sniff (George rubbed turkey meatballs on his feet to ensure the pup would like him).

Plenty of other famous people have given notable names to their dogs, cats and even hamsters (RIP Pac, Justin Bieber's former rodent). Jennifer Garner named the family's yellow lab Martha Stewart, in honor of the domestic diva. As for the human Martha Stewart? She named her Chow Chow Genghis Khan for the Chinese emperor. Oh, Martha.

That's only the beginning...
