Jordan Strauss/Invision/APThe man who broke into Sandra Bullock's home recently was charged with possessing an arsenal of weapons, including a half dozen machine guns, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.
Police found numerous weapons, which included several machine guns, at the Montrose home of Joshua Corbett following his June 8 arrest at Bullock's residence in an upscale neighborhood near Beverly Hills.
The 39-year-old, who already pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles Superior Court to felony charges of burglary, stalking and possession of a machine gun, now faces 19 additional felony weapons charges. Corbett pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges that he possessed a stockpile of weapons.
Corbett's bail was set at $2 million on the new charges in addition to the $185,000 bond from the original charges. He is being held in Los Angeles County Jail. If convicted as charged in the new case, Corbett is facing more than 12 years in county jail.
Police responded to a 911 call from inside the residence after Corbett allegedly climbed the fence to access the actress' West Los Angeles residence. He was then arrested at the scene.
Thankfully, Bullock was unharmed during the terrifying break-in, and prosecutors said that Corbett was not in possession of his machine gun at the time of his forced entry.
The stalking charge comes after law enforcement sources said, per Today, that the man had an obsession with the Blind Side star which included possibly keeping a diary about her as well as going through personal items belonging to the actress when police encountered him at her home.
