Winning an Olympic gold medal is one thing, but making out your fiancée moments after she says "yes" to your proposal? That certainly looks like a very happy moment for ice dancer Charlie White!
The 26-year-old Dancing With the Stars alum and his 29-year-old girlfriend Tanith Belbin got engaged Tuesday in Hawaii, and moments after he put that dazzling diamond on her finger, the pair embraced and celebrated with a passionate kiss! Luckily for us, this super sweet moment was caught on camera!
Charlie first broke the news of his engagement on Tuesday, Instagramming a cute but PDA-free pic of himself, his fiancée and that sparkler. "Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life!" he wrote, adding, "Hashtag she said yes!!!"
Charlie's Olympic ice dancing partner Meryl Davis was one of the first to congratulate her longtime BFF and his future wife, an Olympic figure skater herself, on their great news. "Beautiful girl, beautiful [diamond ring emoji]!" she tweeted. "Good work @CharlieaWhite."
Aw. Meryl will surely be there when Charlie and Tanith say I do, whenever that might be. For now, though, the future bride and groom are just happy enjoying their engagement and not worrying about the big day quite yet.
"Everyone's asking about wedding plans," Charlie tweeted, "but as of right now only one thing is certain- DJ [his adorable dog!] will be giving me away."
Sounds like the perfect wedding so far!
