Tracy Morgan suffered multiple broken bones in this weekend's multi-vehicle crash, which killed one of his comedian friends, but there is also some good news.

"While Tracy remains in critical condition, he has been more responsive today, which is an incredibly encouraging sign," his rep told E! News on Sunday, June 8. "He sustained a number of injuries, including a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. He had surgery earlier today on his leg.  We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks."

The man who drove the limo bus carrying the 45-year-old 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live alum and several friends and comics after a standup show had recalled in press interviews that day the horrific aftermath of the accident, which took place on a New Jersey highway early on Saturday and killed one of the comedians and critically wounded Morgan and two other people.

The limo bus driver had said Morgan had held his infant daughter, one of his four children, before they went on the road. Morgan's family had rushed to be by his side following the crash.

Scores of celebrities, including fellow star comics Chris Rock and Joan Rivers, and fans have been posting messages of support and prayers to Morgan all weekend.

"His family is tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans," the actor's rep said.
