Hugh Jackman Declares Every Day Father's Day and Jokingly Reveals How His Family Celebrates

X-Men: Days of Future Past star reveals what he demands from his children every day of the year from the set of the 2014 Tony Awards.

Some dads are content to get a handmade card with a note scribbled in crayon saying, "Happy Father's Day!"

Hugh Jackman, however, jokes that he's a little more specific with his kids—son Oscar and daughter Ava—as he educates them on how to celebrate fatherhood.

We caught up with the X-Men: Days of Future Past star as he prepares to host the Tony Awards for the fourth time and he humorously revealed his plans for honoring paternal bonds. "Well, I just preach to my kids that every day is Father's Day, so I expect breakfast in bed every day."

In addition to these playful demands, Jackman also quipped, "I'm all for the patriarchal system."

The good-humored actor will be putting that entertaining wit to good use when he hosts the 2014 Tony Awards Sunday night.

And given his track record the audience can expect a great show!

Called "a consummate entertainer and the one you want out there hosting your live television event," by Jack Sussman, executive vice president of specials, music and live events at CBS Entertainment, the Tony Award winner and talented thesp is so skilled at emceeing he won an Emmy for hosting the awards in 2004. 

The network executive added, "Hugh is the ultimate performer—actor, singer and dancer—he does it all, second to none."
