Prince William has an eclectic taste in music!

While visiting Goole High School in East Yorkshire, England yesterday to launch a new award for primary school children as royal patron of the charity SkillForce, Kate Middleton's other half revealed a few of his favorite bands.

The 31-year-old royal arrived to the high school by car in the pouring rain. While greeting students and faculty, Will joked, "I'm so sorry I didn't bring better weather with me!" Inside, Will chatted to members of the school's samba band but refused an offer from one kid to play one of the drums. "I used to play the piano, trumpet and drums when I was your age but I couldn't read music," he said. "There's only so much you can remember from the top of your head."

When one of the band members asked Will what music he liked, the Duke of Cambridge reportedly replied, "I really like Coldplay, Linkin Park."

While Will revealed his favorites when it comes to music, he also shared his distaste for a certain supermarket food item. While meeting with students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition, Will pointed out a packet of instant pasta and cheese and said, "Have you tried this before? It's OK, it's not too bad. It's better than the beef stew and dumplings which is quite a heavy one."

Royals: they're just like us!

Will topped off his school visit by chatting with kids taking part in a team bridge-building exercise in the school yard which was inspired by the 70th anniversary of D-Day later this week. Will left by helicopter as hundreds of children and local residents stood and waved to him in the rain.
