Two more stars join the bob brigade

Well, either this is an incredible coincidence or a best friend pact.

This week BFFs Mandy Moore and Minka Kelly uploaded photos of their new haircuts on Instagram. Moore was first up, sharing a selfie on Wednesday of her asymmetrical bob and calling it a "bad-ass cut." Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell, whose clients also include Christina Hendricks, created Mandy's fresh crop.

Twenty-four hours later, Minka Kelly decided to get a big chop. While the actress didn't go as short as her pal Mandy, she did take off quite a few inches. "Sooo @Marktownsend1 and I had some fun with the scissors today," she captioned the silly-face snapshot. Kelly's new style is a classic shoulder-length cut—quite a different style for the star, whose extra long locks have been a major part of her signature look.

The twosome are now part of Hollywood's ever-growing bob brigade, which most recently includes Hilary Duff, Whitney Port and Kaley Cuoco.
