One Direction is moving on after the recent video scandal.
The popular boy band took the stage in Sunderland, England, last night to perform a show for a stadium full of screaming fans. Their performance, as part of their Where We Are tour, was the group's first public appearance since a video showing Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson smoking what looked to be marijuana leaked on the Internet.
None of the members addressed the situation, but Zayn did thank fans for their constant support, "I want to say a massive, massive thank you to each and every single one of you for supporting us from all our early shows to this very day. I want you to know how much that means."
And while the entire band has always been grateful for their strong fan base, Liam Payne felt it was necessary to shut down their fans' latest support stunt.
After the smoking video went viral, numerous 1D supporters apparently began the movement #Skinfor1D, which had fans posting nude selfies on Twitter in support of the band—yeah, we're serious. Payne had to put a stop to it.
"Woah there's some pretty weird shit going on ATM everyone just calm down and don't do anything stupid cuz u can't take it back," Liam tweeted. "I know some people are having a laugh and that's all well and good but some people will take this shit serious so I suggest we stop."
He continued by responding to a fan, "I'm talking about the trends like we appreciate everything u guys do for us but that's all a bit far tbh u don't need to do that."
