Jessica brought the wow factor (obviously) to the amfAR Gala in Cannes last night, evoking Old Hollywood glamour with cascading waves, flawless skin, shimmery lined eyes and a creamy mauve lip.
Could the Zero Dark Thirty actress have used a smidge of anti-frizz product to tame her tresses? Perhaps. But given our love of Ms. Chastain, we're not going to let a little bit of frizz rain on our parade.
Try the Look: To mimic Jessica's dreamy complexion, start by exfoliating skin with either an enzyme peel like Jurlique Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator or manually with a mechanical face brush like Skin Authority 3-in-1 Cleansing System. Then, apply a lightweight, radiance-boosting moisturizer like Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Radiance Lotion.
Once moisturizer has absorbed, apply an oil-free primer that has light diffusers and absorbs oil, like Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light. Primer acts as a barrier between your skin and makeup, preventing your makeup from settling into fine lines and pores. To get Jessica's subtly flushed cheeks, use your fingertips or a blush brush to apply a pink coral cream blush like Mehron Cheek Cream in Pink Coral to the apples of your cheeks. Use a makeup sponge to gently blend the edges and to ensure that you don't look like you're starring in a Pat Benatar video.
For Ms. Chastain's perfect pucker, start by exfoliating lips with a sugar scrub or dry toothbrush. Then, line and fill in entire lip with a neutral-hued lip liner. Now, apply a long-lasting liquid lip color in a dusty mauve, like Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Comet.
We mentioned before that perhaps Jessica could have used a smidge of anti-frizz product. If we were in Cannes getting her ready (closing our eyes and collectively dreaming that we are in Cannes), we would have sprayed a couple spritzes of One ‘N Only Argan Oil Spray Treatment in the palm of our hands, rubbed them together, and then gently smoothed the oil throughout Jessica's hair. (Then we probably wouldn't have washed our hands. Ever.)
