NBCIt's always so impossible to cover Jennifer Lawrence fashions because we can't detach the girl we're totally obsessed with from the clothes she's wearing! Case in point, this slightly awkward all-black outfit worn on her recent Late Night appearance.
The look is a big meh as far as we're concerned, but the insane story about puking at Madonna's Oscar after-party that the American Hustle star told while wearing it was so perfect that our style judgement is now clouded!
We can't quite tell if the three-time Academy Award nominee is rocking one or two pieces here, but either way our issues are all around those pant legs. The simple black top and criss-crossed cropped coverage is incredibly sexy without crossing over into tacky territory. But it all falls apart for us from that high waistline down. A wide-legged look isn't necessarily a fashion fail, but in this case the width starts so high up on J.Law's hips that it makes her bottom look far bigger than it really is.
Not that we love her one iota less.
