Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Vivienne may be the only one of their kids who appears in Maleficent opposite her mom, but the entire family started off being in the film.

"The idea of doing something more than once and doing it when you're told—no 4-year-old isn't going to do what you tell them to do anyway," Jolie recalled to E! News' Giuliana Rancic during junket for the upcoming fantasy drama, describing her toddler's first day on the set playing Princess Aurura as a young child.

"So just like any 4-year-old, she always skips around, she always collects flowers, she always collects butterflies. But when she's supposed to, she just didn't want to," the mother of six said.

Just like with any big-name star, sometimes it takes an army. And luckily, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt came with an army!

"So Brad and I, and her brothers and sisters, were all there, and I had to get the pole with the blue stick on the end that was the butterfly and I had to kind of dance in front of her," Jolie, who plays the titular evil-for-a-reason queen, said laughing.

"And then Brad had to be on the edge of the cliff that she was going to jump off of., and her brothers and sisters were trying to encourage her on... But she made us work for it. We worked hard that day. Disney said it was the funniest dailies they've ever seen, 'cause they could see us, obviously, and we had to be painted out. But we were in the shot tyring to get her to do it."

Talk about family-friendly entertainment!

Other days on the set were easier, Jolie said, especially considering Vivienne likes being with her so much regardless of where they are.

"She's always that kid, she's that little girl," the Oscar winner said. "We call her my shadow at home...The other kids are starting to get a little irritated about it."

That close bond with her youngest daughter made some work on the set easier, and certain things more difficult. Watch the clip to find out which scene was super weird for Jolie to shoot with her little girl!
