When Jennifer Lawrence first entered the world, somebody clearly wasn't expecting her to be a girl. Namely, her father.

While chatting with E! News at the X-Men: Days of Future Past premiere in New York City on Saturday, the Oscar winner recalled the day she was born, after introducing us to one of her "cousins."

"His dad pulled me out of my mother's you-know-what," the 23-year-old actress said. "And there's this famous story how my dad thought I was a boy, and he made his dad check twice...Turns out it was a girl!"

Lawrence then clarified that the young man was not technically related to her.

"We're like cousins, but we always forget that we're not cousins," the Silver Linings Playbook star noted. "I just realized that by him being my cousin, that would mean the doctor who delivered me would be related to my mother, so I just wanted to clear that up. There's no actual relation. We just call each other cousins."

Later, E! News caught up with Lawrence's boyfriend and X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult, who was startled in a big way by another costar, James McAvoy, during the interview.

"He just gave me a heart attack!" Hoult exclaimed, before remarking, "Revenge is best served cold."

Watch your back, McAvoy.

Meanwhile, X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on May 23.
