"It was two parents being adults coming together for their daughter's birthday at school," a source tells E! News regarding the former couple's reunion in New York City on Thursday. "When it comes to Bryn, they're able to put their differences aside."
However, our source was quick to add, "I wouldn't say they're going to start hanging out or anything, but they do what's right for their daughter."
Earlier in the day, Frankel acknowledged Bryn's big day by tweeting, "4 years ago today, the love of my life entered the world. It goes by so quickly."
Frankel filed for divorce from Hoppy in January 2013. The two are still in the midst of a lingering divorce battle. Still, despite the stress of her divorce, the former Real Housewives of New York star insists she's living life to the fullest.
"I'm in a good place," she told E! News earlier this week. "Life is a journey, not a destination. I'm on the road. And the road is paved with good intentions."
