Zac Brown Welcomes His Fifth Child—and First Son—With Wife Shelly

Country music star was already a papa

It's a boy—finally—for Zac Brown!

The Zac Brown Band frontman and wife Shelly welcomed their fifth child together on Monday, son Alexander Frost Brown.

Their baby boy joins four older sisters in the family fold—Joni, Justice, Lucy and Georgia.

"We're just gonna keep on going until we get a boy," Brown, who is the second-youngest of 12 kids, told country music site The Boot in 2011 after Joni was born. "If that's 13, then I doubt I'm gonna be able to pull that off, but we'll see."

"I know how to make girls. I figured that out," the "Jump Right In" singer told Miami's 99.9 Kiss Country in May 2012. "We've had four girls in five years...I love them and I wouldn't trade the world for them, but I think we're going to enjoy the ones we have for now. It's like herding cats at home. They're always running in every direction."

But the chromosomal dice came up XY on try No. 5! 

"#BabyBrown Update! Please help us congratulate Zac and Shelly as they welcome their 1st baby BOY this spring!" the band tweeted back in November when the couple revealed that they were expecting again.

The couple and their brood make their home in Atlanta.
