The Swiss tennis star and wife Mirka Vavrinec welcomed their second set of twins today, this time a pair of boys to join sisters Myla Rose and Charlene Riva in the family fold.
"Mirka and I are so incredibly happy to share that Leo and Lenny were born this evening! #TwinsAgain#Miracle," Federer tweeted Tuesday.
Federer, 32, signaled his sons' imminent arrival yesterday when he announced that he was withdrawing from this week's Madrid Open, one of the last tune-ups ahead of the French Open, which begins May 25.
"I've decided to withdraw from Madrid to be with my wife Mirka during these next few exciting weeks for our family," read a message he posted on Facebook. "I apologize to my fans and hope to be back in Madrid next year. I'll be training near my home, and am excited to rejoin the Tour soon!"
Not ones to hold a grudge, the ATP World Tour tweeted "congratulations" to Federer, despite now being down two marquee names, daddy-to-be Novak Djokovic having previously withdrawn with an arm injury.
Federer and Mirka, a former tennis pro whom he met in 2000 while both were competing in the Summer Olympics in Sydney, tied the knot on April 11, 2009.
That July they welcomed twin daughters Myla and Charlene. Congrats to the new family of four!
