Getty ImagesIf you'd asked us in advance of the 2014 Met Gala which celebs would appear in classic red carpet style, we would have said Reese Witherspoon, Blake Lively, and Taylor Swift. And we obviously would have been right.
All three A-listers donned their own special brand of classic couture making them easy to spot in the never-ending train of beauties and easy to constrast in this fierce fashion battle.
First up is the Wild star in her bright pink Stella McCartney stunner. We cannot get over the impeccable scallop on that sweetheart neckline, or how well the bold jewel tone compliments this southern girl's peaches and cream skin.
But she has some major competition in Mrs. Ryan Reynolds. A plunging, gold Gucci dress is typically the couture trump card, especially on one of the most perfect bodies on the planet. The former Gossip Girl adds even more drama with that incredible train, and the equally incredible waterfall of curls.
Last but by no means least is the "22" singer having a Princess Grace meets Audrey Hepburn moment. She is the belle of this ball in blush, beaded Oscar de la Renta, but is it enough of a statement to compete with her glamorous "sisters?"
We say it's down to Reese's color or Blake's cut, and in that case there's no contest. Blake takes the cake. What's your say?
