To fully appreciate this story, you need to fully understand what a KFC Double Down is: "Bacon, Monterey Jack cheese and Colonel's sauce sandwiched between two 100% white meat Original Recipe® filets." In summary: a fried chicken sandwich, but the fried chicken is not between two pieces of bread, it is the bread.

And some anonymous broseph got a Double Down tattooed on the back of his leg. It's a real tattoo and you can really watch him getting it done in a new KFC commercial. He's anonymous insofar as his name is not given, but KFC doesn't obscure his face or modulate his voice. If you're wondering who would get a fried chicken kind-of sandwich tattooed on their body forever, it's this guy:

The "Ultimate KFC Double Down fan," as KFC refers to him, says, "I actually went on a date with my girlfriend to get a Double Down, it was a while ago. I think when they first came out. I guess that's how it all started."

Explaining why he got the tattoo, he said, "It's a tattoo that people will always ask about. And it's funny, so." So...? He later clarifies, "Well, you don't get a tattoo if it doesn't mean something."

WHICH STILL DOES NOT EXPLAIN ANYTHING.

Here's the tattoo:

Fun fact: The tattoo artist, who works at Louisville's Tattoo Salvation parlor, says he has tattooed Colonel Sanders' face more than any other face. So there are actually a bunch of KFC-themed tattoos running around out there!

Meanwhile, the Double Down is only back at KFC until May 25. Get it while it lasts.

Or tattoo it on your body forever. Your body, your choice. Watch the new ad here:
