What's black and white and red all over? The arrivals at the Met gala tonight.

So many stars stepped onto the red carpet clad in a black and white ensemble, that we took notice immediately.

Charlize Theron opted for a strapless white Dior gown with black detailing down the sides—but it was the black cape that really made this look stand out.

Actress Hailee Steinfeld looked ultra-sophisticated for a 17-year-old in a full-skirted black and white Prabal Gurung gown, and she completed her look with a bit of Van Cleef and Arpels bling.

And Anna Kendrick also opted for the black and white trend in a J.Mendel number with a white bodice and black skirt.

Last but not least was Sarah Jessica Parker, who fully embraced the theme of the evening in a black and white Oscar de la Renta ball gown—complete with elbow-length white gloves.

While all these looks are totally different, one things for sure: black and white was the theme of the evening.

Which of these looks is your favorite?
