Get your lifejackets ready, New Girl fans, because it looks like the Nick and Jess ship may not quite have sailed just yet. And all the boat stuff isn't just a metaphor, either, as the season three finale finds the entire cast heading out to sea on a cruise Nick and Jess booked back when they were still together. Of course, their friends take the opportunity to force the exes to deal with their obvious issues.

Now, as the TV experts that we are, we're going to go ahead and guess that Nick and Jess will be back together before we know it, but we can't deny that it's also kind of fun to watch them not be together. So what does season four hold for the quirkiest maybe couple on TV?
"Last year, the finale was Nick and Jess getting together," says star Zooey Deschanel, "I think there are probably more possibilities in terms of where next season will begin."
Will Nick and Jess be together? Will they be apart? Could those possibilities include our favorite loftmates shipwrecked on a deserted island and forced into a Swiss Family Robinson treehouse sort of situation? You'll have to watch the finale on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Fox to find out!
