Emma Stone was brought to tears during an interview to promote The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But don't worry about the 25-year-old redhead—she wasn't crying about something sad or serious. It was all about the Spice Girls.

The actress, who is Down Under promoting the latest installment in the film franchise, sat down with Australia 2Day FM's Merrick Watts and Sophie Monk on Thursday. The duo broke the news to Stone that Mel B, who often co-hosts the program, was unable to attend this sit-down.

"Wait, Mel B, could have been here?" Andrew Garfield's ladylove gushed, as her voice cracked and tears filled her eyes. "I'm gonna cry."

Cue a little box of Scary Spice saying, "Hi Emma!"

"Oh my god, is Mel B talking to me?" the starlet said as she sobbed and experienced an overwhelming fan girl moment. "Oh my god, I'm so excited. I'm legitimately crying. I'm the biggest Spice Girls fan ever."

"First of all, I want to say I absolutely adore you," Mel B said as the duo "met" for the first time. "I love you. And I want to say thank you for being such a Spice Girl fan. But my question to you is, why did you like Baby Spice and not me more?"

The 38-year-old is referring to Stone confessing to Entertainment Weekly in 2012 that she wanted to be Baby Spice (aka Emma Bunton).

"Your punishment for that, is I want you to do a rendition of one of the Spice Girls songs."

"You guys, I'm really excited about this," Stone gleefully admitted. "I'm legitimately excited."

Stone had a tough time just picking one classic tune by the '90s British pop girl group, but she ultimately selected "Wannabe." And her rendition was pretty amazing.
