PSA: Do not miss the opening scene of Thursday's Scandal. And that's an order directly from the first lady herself!

"You're going to find something out in the first few minutes that is gutting and crazy and life-changing," Bellamy Young warned E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of Divergent, which stars her fictional hubby Tony Goldwyn, on Tuesday night.

Oh, and you won't want to miss the 40 minutes that follow the ABC hit's opening scene either, as Young continued, "It's going to take the full hour for you to know the whole story." Tony Goldwyn simply described the episode as "killer." Gulp.

Of course, who would miss the episode after last week's shocking cliffhanger, which found Jake (Scott Foley) going full dark side and shooting either David (Josh Malina) or James (Dan Bucatinksy) before a brutal fade to black, spawning a new worldwide trending topic in the process: #whogotshot?!)

So is Malina's David Rosen, arguably the show's sole moral compass, the victim?

"I will say is all the options are there," Malina teased. "Perhaps nobody got shot...could have been a warning shot over our heads; could have been another person or a deer in the distance...could have been Jake hunting...could be either or both of us!"

And reading the script for the episode gave Malina about as much anxiety as fans currently have worrying over who was (possibly) shot.

"It caused a lot of anxiety, because I am perhaps healthfully so focused on whether my character survives to the next episode, and it's not like we're given two, three episodes at a time," he explained. "So basically we were given a script that ended like that and Dan and I kind of looked at each other like, 'Oh, well, this is going to be a fun two weeks while we wait for the next script!' So yeah, I was a little concerned."

Scandal airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
