After reports surfaced in January that Prince William and Kate Middleton were on the hunt for a new nanny for Prince George after the wee one's previous caregiver, Jessie Webb, reached the end of her contract, it seems that the happy couple has finally found a suitable caregiver, who was pictured strolling around London's Hyde Park with the third in line to the throne last week.
The Spanish born child-minder—who, according to Hello magazine, is said to have started last month and "lives for her job"—is currently being shown the ropes by Kate's mum, Carole Middleton, while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoy and romantic holiday together in the Maldives.
The timing was impeccable for the unnamed nanny's hiring, considering Will, Kate and their 7-month-old son will soon head to New Zealand and Australia for a three-week tour in April, which will also mark Prince George's first official public appearance.
By this time, the brunette caregiver should be more than accustomed to looking after the royal baby and is reportedly expected to accompany the trio on their travels, looking after Prince George while his mum and dad attend a number of official royal engagements.
Since she arrived in the U.K. a few decades ago, the Spanish-born babysitter, "has worked for other high-profile families," a friend told Hello! magazine. "And it was from there that the Cambridges heard of her and hired her."
The friend added, "She is not married and doesn't have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional—married to the job."
However, despite her extensive résumé, Will and Kate are taking their time before they put their son in the hands of someone outside of their family. Prince George is currently in the care of Carole and Michael Middleton while the loved-up couple enjoy a second honeymoon-type getaway.
