While there's no doubt Taylor Swift and Lorde have become fast friends as of late, we can't help but wonder whether the BFFs will ever make sweet music together.

And despite their drastically different musical styles, the 17-year-old singing sensation recently chatted with Capital FM radio, where she dished on a potential duet, admitting Swift's adaptive nature opens the door for a potential collaboration.

An anti-pop star who's skyrocketed to fame and an adorable country crooner? We can't think of a more perfect combination.

"Yeah we are [different]," Lorde said. "But I think the cool thing about Taylor is she is pretty willing to go a lot of places with music."

"I think that last record [Red] in particular, everyone was like 'Woah', a lot of ground has been covered," she added. "And I think with an artist like her, the sky is the limit."

Sounds pretty promising!

The pair most recently spent time together at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where Swift congratulated her bestie on her big wins after she nabbed the honors for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year for her smash hit "Royals."

"And you know... We're on each other's team. #LORDE #CLEANINGUP #GRAMMYS," the 24-year-old songbird wrote, making a clever pun on Lorde's single "Team," before the New Zealand beauty reciprocated the love.

"very proud of @taylorswift13 tonight. one of the most masterful performers i've seen," she wrote, complimenting Swift on her performance of her single "All Too Well."

Swift also celebrated her birthday with Lorde by her side in December and they were spotted on a casual lunch date in November, putting all signs of any feud rumors to rest.

The breakout artists made headlines when she told Metro Magazine in October that Taylor Swift is "so flawless, and so unattainable, and I don't think it's breeding anything good in young girls [who might think] 'I'm never going to be like Taylor Swift, why can't I be as pretty as Lorde?' That's f--king bulls--t."

She later clarified her comments via Tumblr writing, "ts was the first person i thought of, which i regret. she happens to be good looking, but i think she actually uses her other imperfections in an incredibly powerful and relatable way. taylor swift has a very unique vision, which i admire...basically, this is an apology for not thinking too hard before i speak."
