Sochi Olympics: Swedish Freestyle Skier Henrik Harlaut Crashes and Loses His Pants

Athlete finished seventh in the final event on Thursday

No pants, no problem?

Swedish freestyle skier Henrik Harlaut suffered a nasty crash during his qualifying run at the men's slopestyle ski competition in Sochi. Luckily he wasn't injured but he could have been subjected to a far more humiliating experience: flashing his derriere for the entire world to see.

The 22-year-old Olympian lost his baggy beige ski pants and he managed to show off most of his blue patterned underwear on Thursday at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park—but not his actual behind.

"I've got suspenders," Harlaut revealed after the nearly mooning moment to Yahoo!. "So they're always secure."

Well, they did save him this time around from getting completely tangled in his own attire.

He finished the competition in seventh place—and kept his pants on during his final run—but he took the gold for his underwear display.

This isn't the first time the athlete has shown off his colorful undergarments.

Harlaut lost his balance during the men's slopestyle elimination at the Winter X Games 2012 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen a year ago and endured the same fate as he did in Sochi.
