Namely, the one about him dating Dita Von Teese.
"Dita Von Teese is brave, smart, sweet and elegant. She is a friend of mine. Who wouldn't want friends like that? Friends, not lovers," he tweeted.
The clarification by the Les Misérables star came after a New York Post story on Monday claimed the Oscar winner and the burlesque beauty enjoyed a "romantic couple's massage together" at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City back in December. The article also suggested the two had been flirting for awhile via Twitter.
Crowe and his wife, Danielle Spencer, separated in October after nine years of marriage.
