It's not her usual full-length glamour shot (i.e., every photo taken of her), but we'll take a seated Kate Middleton any day of the week, too.

Especially if it indicates that the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is feeling well enough to socialize after a bout with intense nausea related to her expectant status.

Kate and daddy-to-be Prince William attended a holiday lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth II today at Buckingham Palace, the couple showing up separately but leaving together after an afternoon of mingling with their fellow royals.

Prince Charles and wife Camilla; Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice; their father, Prince Andrew; the queen's cousin, Prince Michael of Kent; his wife, Marie Christine, and a bevy of other royal relatives were also in attendance, per Britain's Daily Mail.

Prince Harry was the most notably absent, Prince William's younger brother currently still stationed in Afghanistan.

Kate and Will arrived in different chauffeured vehicles but they hitched a ride in the same backseat on the way home. It would definitely appear that the duchess is regaining her strength: On Sunday she presented at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards and yesterday she and Will attended a private Christmas lunch with staffers who handle their business affairs at a London restaurant.

Sometime before Christmas, the queen and Prince Philip are expected to leave for Sandringham House, their estate in Norfolk where the monarch's immediate family traditionally spends the holiday every year.
