Lily Allen Comes Out of Retirement, Heads Back Into Recording Studio

Singer announces via Twitter her return to the music world after a self-imposed hiatus

Here's some news that will make Lily Allen's fans smile.

The 27-year-old singer has revealed she is finally back to making music.

"You will be pleased to know that i am currently in the f--king studio with [producer] @GregKurstin," Allen tweeted on Wednesday.

In 2010, the "Smile" songstress announced she was taking a break from the music world to focus both on her fashion store and personal life.

Allen married Sam Cooper in June 2011, and the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ethel, last November.

As for her return to the studio, Allen tried to downplay it by tweeting, "No big deal really, im just throwing s--t at the wall and seeing if anything sticks."

Ah, to be a fly on that wall, though.
