Bethenny Frankel sadly revealed earlier this year that she had suffered a miscarriage. Now she's taking time out to share more about that painful experience.

In the new issue of Glamour, the 41-year-old former Real Housewives of New York star turned talk-show host recalls how she was told to "take it easy" upon learning she and her husband, Jason Hoppy, were expecting for the second time. (The couple has a 2-year-old daughter, Bryn.)

"Because my first pregnancy had been complicated, and because I was over 40, the doctor told me that I was high risk and needed to take it easy. So I took it easy. I had to," Frankel says. "I felt seven months pregnant even though I was six weeks along."

But despite minimizing her work schedule, Frankel eventually miscarried.

"We met the doctor in his office," she recalls. "And I launched into it. 'Is it because I'm busy? My lifestyle? Is this my fault?' I asked. 'Absolutely not, absolutely not,' he replied, before I could dump all my neuroses on his desk. 'You're 41. You had bleeding. There's nothing you could have done.' And I hadn't done anything. Since I'd found out, I'd been lying down for an hour or two every day and letting others take up the slack. But I blamed myself—of course I did."

Ten days later, Frankel received a call from her doctor, who told her that the fetus had been a female.

"I fell to pieces," Frankel says. "I was picturing Bryn with a little sister. Two little girls in rain boots."

And for Frankel, time will tell if she and her husband will have another child.

"I'm healthy and could try again," she says. "But I don't want to be a 'trying' person. If it's meant to be, it will happen."
