Who knew Scarlett Johansson was the poster child for zombie rights?

Well, that's what controversial artist Daniel Edwards is attempting to turn the Avengers star into by way of his latest sculpture, which shows the topless actress covering up her chest with two undead heads.

Huh?

Yeah, let us explain...

According to a press release (seriously), the "art" seen here has been designed to encourage the entertainment industry to take a more respectful approach to the zombie genre.

"Zombies represent our ancestors, so where is the respect, love and humanity for zombies that we have for family?" says Edwards in a statement. "I challenge Hollywood to make a film that does for zombies what movies like The Day the Earth Stood Still, Close Encounters and E.T. did for aliens."

Edwards' spokesman, Cory Allen, sympathizes with his client's concerns.

"I've lost a lot of people very close to me and it is bothersome that the film industry continually suggests that if they came back from the dead they would return as evil beings."

The "ScarJo with Zombies" statuette is just the latest quirky piece of artistry from Edwards, who has previously given us Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez naked, Britney Spears giving birth, Angelina Jolie nursing and Suri Cruise's poop.

Just to name a few. Then again, how many more do you need?
