The good news? Alec Baldwin is staying on 30 Rock for the seventh season.

The bad news? According to Jack Donaghy himself, that'll be the last season for the NBC comedy…

According to an AP report, Baldwin insisted today that he's still a fan of NBC, despite last week's Twitter rant when he tweeted, "I think I'm leaving NBC just in time."

While in Washington to promote arts funding, the 30 Rock star claimed one of the reasons he joined the NBC comedy was to work for the network because it had the best programing legacy. Baldwin then reconfirmed that he'll finish the next season of the show, but that season seven will be the last.

That said, the actor doesn't sound like he's made peace with the Today show. Last week he tweeted his anger toward the show for camping outside his apartment to cover the stalker story without his permission. Today he added a jab by claiming there's always Good Morning America and Anderson Cooper 360 to watch instead.

A rep for 30 Rock has no comment on the status of the show. (E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)

Are you hoping 30 Rock will stay on the air past season seven?
