Leonard Cohen's Former Business Manager Convicted of Harassing Him

Kelley Lynch was found guilty of violating protective orders and repeatedly contacting the artist with the intent to annoy or harass

Leonard Cohen is no doubt singing "Hallelujah" right about now.

On Thursday, a jury found Kelley Lynch, the 77-year-old music man's former business manager, guilty of violating protective orders and repeatedly contacting Cohen with the intent to annoy or harass, the L.A. Times reports.

Cohen testified against Lynch during the trial, accusing her of relentlessly leaving threatening voicemail messages and sending harassing emails between February 2011 and January of this year, including one that allegedly had Lynch saying Cohen "needed to be taken down and shot."

This isn't the first time Cohen has had legal issues with Lynch. According to the Times, after the two parted ways in 2004, Cohen sued Lynch a year later for allegedly stealing $5 million from his personal accounts and investments. A judge subsequently ordered Lynch to pay $9.5 million.

In this latest case, Lynch, who is expected to be sentenced next week, could face up to five years in jail.
