Prince William will be turning the big 3-0 in June.

So, of course, it doesn't come as a complete surprise that Kate Middleton is reportedly planning on giving her guy a rather memorable gift to mark the occasion.

Well, just what does the Duchess of Cambridge supposedly have up her always-stylish sleeve?

A portrait of herself!

According to People, Kate sat for artist Nicky Phillips (who did the official painting of William and his brother, Prince Harry) while her husband was away recently for military training in the Falkland Islands. Naturally, there is much speculation that the portrait will be presented to William on his birthday.

When E! News reached out for more info, a rep for the royals told us:  "We aren't commenting on these reports, as should such a portrait be happening, it would be a private matter."

However, the rep added that the Duchess of Cambridge has agreed to sit for a portrait for the National Portrait Gallery sometime in the future and that discussions about who the artist will be are still ongoing.

Meanwhile, royal fans hoping to pick up a pair of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Barbie dolls prior to the couple's upcoming one-year wedding anniversary might be out luck.

The London's Daily Mail is reporting that pre-order sales of the collectibles have already sold out, despite the fact that folks were limited to reserving only five sets per order.

But not all hope is lost. The dolls, priced at $100 for the pair, are scheduled to hit store shelves on April 29.

Although we're guessing it's probably best to get in line now.
