Happy Endings wraps up its second season tonight very much like it ended its first: with a wedding, Penny's gay best friend Derrick and a whole lot of awesomeness.

We were on the set while the cast filmed the finale and can promise that not only will Derrick's wedding to Erik be epic, but we'll get some very interesting developments with the Dave-Alex-Penny triangle. Plus, are Brad and Jane headed for baby town?

Warning: lots of D-R-A-M-A ahead!

"There's a lot of drama in this one," Eliza Coupe promises. "This is going to be an incredible episode, visually. Musical performances, my outfits alone are just…I go from a great dress situation to one of the ugliest things I have ever put on my body, but one of the most comfortable."

We've seen the finale, and trust us when we say that it's truly an outstanding episode of television, and that assessment could be based just on Adam Pally's Madonna cover band alone.

"We do a version of 'Like a Prayer' that is awe-inspiring, I'm not afraid to say," Pally says. "I heard it last night and it's epic," Elisha Cuthbert adds.

Also surrounding the finale is the storyline brewing about Dave possibly having feelings for his ex-fiancée Alex (Cuthbert) and his best friend Penny (Casey Wilson).

"We have to conclude whatever it is that happened along the way this year, but I don't know if we're going to get any answers [yet]," Cuthbert tells us. Indeed, the finale will end with a cliffhanger involving the triangle, leaving us hanging for an entire summer. "I wish they would just make a decision though and stick with it," Zachary Knighton says about the trio.

But at least there's one couple on the show that we can count on to stay together, and that's Jane and Brad. You want little Jane and Brads, you say? Stop that thought right there, dude.

"No! Everyone wants there to be babies, nobody wants to see a baby on TV," Coupe insists. "If anyone is going to have a baby, it shouldn't be Brad and Jane, that's too obvious. We could get an animatronic baby, we could also get a baby that has ear plugs and a blindfold and then it would be in a safe situation for him."

Damon Wayans Jr. agrees with his onscreen wife, but he does have an alternative storyline they could try. "Maybe we can adopt a baby and at the end of the episode we're like, 'This just isn't fun,' and then give it back."

We could actually see that happening on Happy Endings, and that's one of the reasons why the show has grown from an underdog to a consistently funny comedy we count on every week. A fact that hasn't surprised the cast. "I felt confident in the show because I felt like we were doing good work," Pally says. "You never really know how it's going to be received, but I have a lot of faith in good work finding an audience."
