The lovable cast of The Muppets has already taken on summer hits like The Hangover Part II and The Green Lantern, and now in their latest "adaptation," they're channeling the gritty world of David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo remake.

So is this thing hilarious? Or waaay too dark for Kermit and Piggy?

Even with their own edgy soundtrack, clips from some of the flick's "darker" moments and the same large-font type flashing before our eyes as Fincher's take, the classic Muppet humor shines through and makes this the feel-good trailer of the year. Plus, we also get some peeks at the outstanding human cast at work here: Sarah Silverman, Modern Family's Rico Rodrigquez and Oscar-winner Chris Cooper looking quite the villain.

But one thing's certain: We guarantee you'll never hear the words "wocka wocka wocka" the same way again.
