Have I mentioned I'm Mexican? It's not something I usually start with—"Hi. I'm Kristina. I'm Mexican"—but I think my olive skin, dark feature and love of guacamole and mariachi music gives me away. I am a proud third-generation Mexican American that works in a business that sometimes forgets about us.
So imagine my absolute delight when I received the latest issue of Latina magazine with not just one Latina cover girl but 15 amazingly talented successful entertainment industry game changers—all of whom are all shades of Latina! I won't list them all for you—pick up your issue out September 13—but the list is inspiring.
From one of the original trailblazers, Gloria Estefan to one of my favorite red carpet interviews 19-year-old Selena Gomez and so many other lovely Latinas in between. I'm thrilled and honored that these women represent who we truly are and have the potential of becoming in Hollywood.
