What's that sound you're hearing? That's the sound of women all across America squealing with delight!

After getting his heart broken (and ring rejected) by Ashley Hebert on last season's The Bachelorette, Ben Flajnik is getting another shot at love, courtesy of ABC (American Broadcasting Cupid)!

The network officially announced today that the 28-year-old Flajnik will star in the next edition of The Bachelor. So when will viewers see him on his epic journey toward finding eternal televised love?

Break out your calendars, Bachelor fans: The hit reality series is set to return in January 2012. Thankfully, you don't have to wait that long to see Flajnik on your TV screen as he's set to make his first public appearance as the new Bachelor during the season finale of Bachelor Pad on Monday, Sept. 12.

In case you've already forgotten about Flajnik (as if!), here's a quick recap: Described by ABC as "a rare, modern Renaissance man," Flajnik is super close with his family. After graduating from the University of Arizona, he found success in the business world before moving back to California after his father died almost four years ago. He loves crab fishing, sailing, fixing things (he's handy with a hammer!) and his Jack Russell Terrier, Scotch.
