But while the five-time Emmy winner certainly isn't concerned about what anyone thinks of his whirlwind romance with 29-year-old Kayte Walsh, he has offered up a simple explanation anyway.
He's in love.
"Kayte and I are marrying because we are in love and we see no reason to postpone our happiness any longer. End of story," he told E! News via his rep.
Though it's not quite the end of the story...
"We are planning something we wish to be a private affair among several of our friends," the former Frasier star added. "The details will be shared only with whom we wish to share it. Anything else is conjecture and false. Kayte and I are the only reliable source for this story."
Then we appreciate the input! But truly, it has been one of those "when did they have time for that?" courtships.
