Prim and proper seems to be making a comeback.

At least two stars kept the goods covered this fall in Marc Jacobs' frilly-sleeved silk dress with crystal bow.

Carey Mulligan was first out of the gate, pairing her taupe frock with suede pumps (not pictured) back in September to promote her film Never Let Me Go at a Beverly Hills press conference.

Amanda Peet wore the same dress with ankle-strap heels (not pictured) two months later as she made her way to The Break of Noon's opening night afterparty in NYC.

So who wore it best?

Well, while Hollywood usually subsists on the adage: You can never be too rich or too thin, Mulligan's curves seem to do a much better job of filling out the feminine frock while Peet's version just hangs there.
