Legal matters are plaguing Family Matters star Darius McCrary, but the Urkel acquaintance is not taking the allegations lying down.

The ersthwhile Eddie Winslow is speaking out after his ex-wife accused him of beating her and took out a restraining order, calling her claims "public defamation."

And that's not all...

Per court documents, actress, author and hip-hop model Karrine Steffans insists McCrary hit her on two separate occasions. First, last February, when she alleges the 34-year-old actor "choked me from behind and beat me with a belt," a fight witnessed by her 12-year-old son. The second purported incdent took place last month, with Steffans claiming in her filing that McCrary choked her and shoved into a car in front of a crowd of people at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood.

But Team McCrary says that's bunk.

"While it is unfortunate that Miss Steffans has resorted to such public attacks and allegations against Mr. McCrary, he wants his family, friends and fans to know that in no way does he condone anyone resorting to violence against another human being to solve a problem," his rep says in a statement to E! News.

"It is apparent that Miss Steffans didn't take the finality of the divorce well and has resorted to her old tricks of public defamation of one's character."

There was no immediate comment from Steffans, who made a name for herself shaking her booty in music videos for the likes of R. Kelly, Jay-Z and LL Cool J before writing the best-selling memoir Confessions of a Video Vixen. She most recently has teamed with Hustler to serve as the resident sex and image consultant.

Steffans is scheduled to turn up in court next week to ask the judge for a permanent restraining order.

McCrary, meanwhile, had a request for fans.

"At this time, Mr. McCrary is grieving the loss of his grandfather and asks that you pray not only for him and his family but for Miss Steffans as well," his rep says, "in hopes that she will find peace and happiness in her life at some point"
