Hollywood's leading ladies were honored in NYC last night—see what they had to say about what it takes to be glamorous

Hollywood's elite sparkled and shined at Glamour's Women of the Year gala in New York City last night.

But when we caught up with leading ladies Fergie, Cher, Julia Roberts and designer Donatella Versace, they told us their ideas of a strong, glamorous woman had nothing to do with high heels and lipstick.

Being glamorous is "knowing when to not look in the mirror," the original Pretty Woman said.

And Cher confesses she wasn't expecting to be feted as one of the Women of the Year: "It should be someone else, like a doctor or a writer or a scientist," the humbled star confessed.
