Hollywood sure loves its Australians. There's Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Ryan Kwanten and...Pippa Black.

Pippa who?

The blond beauty is a newcomer to the bunch…

She plays Tonya on Outsourced, NBC's new comedy about an American company that sets up its ordering department in India. It's Black's first big job in the U.S. Back in Oz, she made a name for herself in the soap opera Neighbours.

"I was in Australia and I got a call at about four in the morning from my managers in the States saying, 'We've got you on a plane this afternoon to come and test for Outsourced,'" Black, 28, told me the other day. "I jumped on a plane, came over, did the test and went straight back home."

She was offered the gig three days later. "When I got the call, I was like, Oh my god! This is so exciting. I'm going to India," Black said, laughing. "But they were like, 'No, we've recreated India in Hollywood.'"

Not that she's complaining. "I'm having a blast," she said. "If people watching the show are having half as much fun as we are then that's a good thing."
