We gotta feeling tonight's gonna be a real good night for the Black Eyed Peas.

Thanks to two hit singles (and maybe, just maybe, the inability of a certain blogger's opinion to hold sway with music fans), the Peas have blown up the record books over at Billboard HQ, having held on to the top spot on the singles charts for an unprecedented 20 weeks.

For those keeping score at home, weeks 1-12 were dominated by "Boom Boom Pow," while "I Gotta Feeling" was the chart topper for weeks 13-20.

And, quite possibly, beyond if the competition from this week's album charts are any indication (apparently, Neil Diamond fans really are forever).

An appropriately humbled will.i.am waxed on about hearts and egos in response to the big news, while Fergie…well, Fergie managed not to do this again, for which we should all be grateful.

So, the Black Eyed Peas just completed the longest successive stay on top of the Hot 100—something ElvisMichael or The Beatles couldn't manage. We have to ask, are the Peas the greatest ever?
