Somebody give Taylor Swift a Broadway gig, ASAP!
The country cutie certainly knows how to belt out a show tune (along with all the over-the-top theatrics), as she puts a comedic spin on West Side Story's "Tonight" in a New York City taxicab.
The performance is Taylor's contribution to a promo for MTV's upcoming Video Music Awards that will intercut her version of the tune with those of Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, show host Russell Brand and Leighton Meester, who, in the following clip, joins forces with her "Good Girls Go Bad" collaborators, Cobra Starship…
As for which of these two we prefer, our vote has to go to Taylor.
If, for no other reason, than to avoid bodily harm by her alter ego.
________
Unlike Little Orphan Annie, though, Taylor herself has had anything but a hard-knock life.
