There's no official word yet, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that there will be a sequel to G.I. Joe. The action flick opened this weekend with something like $56.2 million in U.S. ticket sales.

"They will make a sequel," Marlon Wayans, who plays Ripcord in the movie opposite Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller, told me at yesterday's Teen Choice. "That's the thing about Hollywood. They will make a sequel and sequel to the sequel and then a sequel to the sequel's sequel."

No formal discussions have begun, but Wayans said, "I can't wait to do it. If it happens, that would be great."

He also suspects there will be G.I. Joe spinoffs.

"I think they'll probably go with Snake Eyes [played by Ray Park] first," Wayans said. "Although I could probably whoop Snake Eyes' ass."
