He can be her hero, baby.

Ali Larter has put an end to her very long engagement—in a good way—tying the knot with fiancée Hayes MacArthur in a small ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine, Saturday.

The newlyweds, who announced their engagement in December 2007, swapped vows at MacArthur's family home in front of an intimate gathering of close friends and family, among them Larter's BFF actress pal and former Varsity Blues costar Amy Smart, according to Us Weekly Magazine.

The 33-year-old Larter and MacArthur, who costarred together in National Lampoon's Homo Erectus, dated for several years before their engagement.

But taking it slow may not have been Larter's choice.

"I told my boyfriend after three weeks that I wanted to marry him and that we could do it tomorrow," Larter told Cosmopolitan last year.

Sounds like tomorrow came today.

The ceremony kicked off on the lawn of the estate, with guests arriving in trolleys to the tune of Irish music in honor of Macarthur's Irish heritage. After the music subsided, Larter's father walked her down the aisle.
