He's tall. He's athletic. He's handsome. He's rich. And, he's looking for love!
E!'s new dating competition series Catching Kelce kicked off tonight with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end traveling to Los Angeles to finally meet the 50 ladies—one from each state—who could potentially win his heart.
It was love (or lust) at first sight for most of the women who were completely smitten with Travis from the moment he ran out onto the football field at L.A.'s Memorial Coliseum. "He is so sexy!" Ally from New York gushed. "I'm speechless. I just wanted to jump on him. I think I thought about having his babies. I'm pretty sure that we're already dating. He doesn't know that yet, but he will!" Whoa there!
The pressure was on right from the jump as each girl was given 60 seconds of alone time with Travis to impress him before he had to narrow down the group.
The girls really pulled out all the stops. Lolo from Washington showed her athleticism with squats and lunges. Lexi from Georgia showed her sweet side with the gift of a juicy peach. And, Maya from Kentucky showed her flexibility with ballet moves and a high kick.
Unfortunately, not everyone could handle their nerves. Poor Lauren from Pennsylvania completely froze up in front of Travis. Then, Chelsea from Virginia asked if she could just hug him for 60 seconds, which was so incredibly awkward.
After all the introductions were complete, Travis was forced to pick 20 women to continue on the journey and move into the mansion. Many of the girls who didn't make it were obviously disappointed, but Jacqueline from Ohio was already looking for her next Mr. Right. "I'm going to be honest, at this point, I'm just going to try to date a professional baseball player," she said. LOL!
Meanwhile, it was time for Travis and the remaining ladies to celebrate. The girls moved into a fabulous mansion with an infinity pool, a shark tank and lots and lots of estrogen. But they didn't have time to relax for long because Travis invited them all to join him and his friends for a rooftop party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel!
As everyone mixed and mingled, the girls were also introduced to Travis' brother, Jason Kelce, and his manager, Aaron Eanes, who would be giving him advice and guidance throughout the process. But once Travis arrived, the claws started to come out as the women competed for his undivided attention.
Anika from Minnesota really started to get on everyone's nerves as she repeatedly interrupted the other girls' alone time with Travis during the festivities. It got so obnoxious that even he started to feel uncomfortable. "Minnesota just keeps popping up in every conversation that I have," he said. "It's like I'm at Dave & Buster's and it's like a Whack-a-Mole!"
As the shindig started to wind down, Travis encouraged the girls to join him for a soul train line because he loves to dance and have a good time. "There are some ladies that surprisingly enough have some moves," he said. "And some of them I could probably teach a thing or two." LOL!
The group was still floating high from their fun night with Travis when they arrived back to mansion. But V Rich from Mississippi decided to kill everyone's buzz by calling a house meeting to solve the urgent mystery of who spilled wine on the staircase. Seriously.
When Anika voiced her annoyance with the situation, V Rich seized the moment to call out her rude behavior with Travis at the party. "I don't mean to single you out," V Rich told her. "But a lot of times today while other girls were trying to have their quality time with Travis, you kept butting in and I just feel like you should be respectful of other people's time."
Meanwhile, Travis had a difficult decision ahead of him because it was elimination time again. He turned to Jason and Aaron to get their opinions on the girls at the party. After talking it over with the guys, Travis narrowed it down to the eight women he would bring to elimination before ultimately sending five back to their home state.
The women watched on the television screen from their mansion as Travis revealed his "lineup"—aka the names of the girls in trouble. The reactions ranged from shock to relief as Lexi, Kara from Kansas, Jordan from Arizona, Salma from Connecticut, Crystal from Florida, London from Tennessee, Victoria from Rhode Island and Ceecee from Michigan were called out.
The eight women were extremely nervous as they headed over to Travis' house. He quickly dismissed Kara, London, Crystal and Salma because he didn't feel a connection. On the other hand, he ended up saving Ceecee and Lexi because he was interested in getting to know them better.
It was then down to Victoria and Jordan. With Jordan, Travis could sense she knew how gorgeous she was and he didn't appreciate her lack of effort at the party. With Victoria, he really liked her personality, but he was worried she could end up in the friend zone.
While Travis was in the middle of expressing his concerns, Victoria stood up, walked over and planted a steamy kiss on his lips. Needless to say, everyone in the room was shocked speechless, including Travis!
"That might have just sparked it," Travis said. Of course, he couldn't send Victoria home after that, so he politely asked Jordan to leave. "I'm not the type of person to stick my tongue down someone's throat after a week, but, hey, I kind of got to give her props," Jordan said on her way out.
In the end, Lexi, Ceecee and Victoria were safe and going back to the mansion. But once they returned, it didn't take long for the rest of the house to learn about that kiss and the games were officially on!
