"Bare makeup," said makeup artist Karen Sarahi Gonzalez when asked her about her 2015 Grammy beauty predictions. We have been seeing this look since last year, and it doesn't seem to be losing any steam on this year's red carpets either. It will be interesting to see if this trend will be at the Grammys because that night is usually reserved for some pretty wild looks. Can you imagine this Sarah Hyland makeup mixing it up with something Katy Perry might be wearing?
Last year was deemed The Year of the Lob and it doesn't seem to be slowing down on this year's red carpet either. E! Style Collective member Karen Sarahi Gonzalez seems to agree and predicts "mid-length hair" with be rampant on the red carpet. Who will bring this year's surprise haircut?
Emily Blunt showed us a lovely version of the smoky metallic eye look at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. We don't think that this trend is anywhere near over and neither does E! Style Collective member Tina Turnbow.
"Sexy waves," said celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow when asked for her 2015 Grammys beauty predictions. We have seen it all over the red carpet this year, including Diane Kruger's lovely 'do at the 2015 Golden Globes.
"One trend I expect to see on the Grammys red carpet is wet hair," said hairstylist Marc Mena. "The wet hair effect is one of the hottest trends this season. It's an easy look to achieve and can completely upgrade your look to be trendy, edgy and fashionable," A great wet-look style was seen on Hayden Panettiere at the 2014 Golden Globes.
We couldn't agree more with celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow when she predicted a colorful lip trend. "More bright lips...perhaps fuchsia," she said. We saw a lot of red-orange lips from actresses like Rashida Jones and Emma Stone on the SAG Awards red carpet this year. Hopefully, those red-pinks will pop up to prove Turnbow right.
"I've been seeing a lot of deep side parts and modern versions of old Hollywood glam," Nine Zero One Salon owner Nikki Lee predicted. "I think that is something that we'll be seeing on Grammys night as well," she continued.
