This E.B. White tail, er, tale is swell for the kids, and the animation is wonderful as our little furry friend, adopted by the Little family, is forced to adjust to his human surroundings. But the comedy is often very unfunny-bunny, and some scenes--involving the neighborhood alley cats with no use for a housebound mouse--might prove way frightening for toddlers.
As a matter of fact, Palminteri, as the voice of the nastiest feline, has more screen presence than any of the other critters, including the title character.
